At Santa Fe South, our promise to our students and their families is at the heart of everything we do—and that includes what we serve for meals. The 2025-26 school year marks an exciting new chapter for our district, as we’ve brought our entire Child Nutrition program in-house. This decision was made with one goal in mind: to provide the best possible service for our students, cooked with the care and attention they deserve.
The Heart of Our Kitchen
This new chapter begins with our incredible food service professionals. The dedicated individuals who prepare and serve meals for our Saints are no longer contractors for another company — They now officially part of the Santa Fe South family. By making them our own employees, we are able to provide better pay and benefits, welcoming them fully into the SFS Familia. We believe that by supporting our amazing staff, they in turn can pour even more heart and soul into every meal.
Fresh Flavors, Homemade Care
Taking control of our own kitchens means we are now creating our own menus, improving on traditional favorites, and developing new recipes. Our goal is to serve our students fresh, delicious meals that they will enjoy. This new approach allows us to ensure our menu is not only nutritious but also flavorful and appealing. We are committed to constantly improving our menu and providing our students with a joyful and nourishing mealtime experience every day.
The response from our students and employees has been absolutely fantastic. From the empty plates to the bright smiles in the cafeteria, we know we made the right choice. We are so proud to serve our Saints family in this new way, and we're just getting started!
