What high school options are available?
Santa Fe South is proud to offer three distinct high school programs at our two high school campuses: Santa Fe South High School, the SFS Alpha Program, and Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College. Please click below to learn more about each program.
Santa Fe South High School
Santa Fe South High School was the flagship school in the Santa Fe South School District. This 9-12th grade campus offers a rich academic experience with a wide variety of award-winning extracurricular opportunities in the Arts, Athletics, and Community Service.
Santa Fe South Alpha Program
SFS Alpha is a credit recovery program through our traditional high school, SFS High School. Located on its own distinct campus, SFS Alpha aims to serve students who have fallen behind in their high school credits, are at risk of dropping out, or who are returning in pursuit of a high school diploma. SFS Alpha students are able to attend classes in half-day units in a smaller, intentional environment that is aimed at their resilience and success. For more information, please visit the Santa Fe South Alpha page.
Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College
Named the #3 Overall High School and #1 Charter School High School in Oklahoma, SFS Pathways Middle College is a concurrent enrollment/early college high school that allows students the opportunity to earn up to an Associates Degree from Oklahoma City Community College while simultaneously earning their high school diploma. SFS Pathways students often earn their Associates Degree before they graduate with their high school diplomas.
- Students attend classes at the SFS Pathways campus located on the OCCC campus and can begin college coursework as early as the summer following their Sophomore year.
- SFS Pathways students routinely complete a full year of college credit prior to their high school graduation and often earn enough to complete their Associates Degree in this same time frame. These credits are often transferred to 4-year colleges and universities across the country.
- SFS Pathways students are able to participate in a robust selection of extracurricular activities such as athletics, the arts, and community service opportunities
- Please note that SFS Pathways students observe a different academic calendar that aligns with OCCC’s calendar. SFS Pathways students also have a distinct uniform policy and graduation requirements.
- Students interested in applying to SFS Pathways apply through the same application process as all other prospective students. For more information on application process, please visit our Admissions page section or contact the SFS Pathways Middle College Admissions Team

What makes a charter school different from a traditional public school?
- Charter Schools are governed by independent or “sovereign” board of governors who are not publicly elected as in traditional public schools.
- Because students are allowed to attend a charter school from anywhere in Oklahoma (not only the school they are “zoned” to attend based on the ZIP code of their home’s location), charter schools do not receive funds for school buildings and facilities from local taxpayer dollars.
- Charter schools are usually smaller in size than traditional public school districts, allowing for the ability to provide a “small school” atmosphere, be creative in pursuing best practices in education, and to pivot quickly when changes are required.
Do students have to wear uniforms?
Yes, students do wear uniform polo shirts, and they can wear blue or black jeans. Please see our student handbook for more information regarding our student uniform policy.
